The next chapter

Has your business outgrown its website?

Spot the gap between the business you have become and the website people still see.

Abstract navy and teal editorial still life

The business has moved on. Has the website?

You are doing more ambitious work. Your clients are different, your services have evolved and your team has grown. Yet your website still introduces the business you were several years ago. That gap matters: a potential client may decide whether you are right for them before you ever have a conversation.

Start by comparing your three most valuable recent projects with the work your homepage promotes. If they tell different stories, your website may be attracting yesterday’s brief.

Look for friction, not just tired design

A dated appearance is only one signal. More revealing signs include enquiries for services you no longer want to sell, repeated questions the site should answer, and staff maintaining the same information in several places.

Ask your sales team what they explain on almost every first call. Then try the site on a phone as a new customer. Can you understand the offer, find evidence and take a useful next step? Write down specific obstacles rather than a wish list of visual changes.

Choose the right scale of change

A clearer offer, stronger project pages and better navigation may resolve the problem without rebuilding everything. A wider redesign makes more sense when the underlying structure, content management or integrations prevent the business from moving forward.

Keep useful assets: recognisable brand details, valuable content and pages that already bring relevant enquiries. Any rebuild should include a plan for existing URLs, redirects where needed, and measuring the journeys that matter.

Define what a better website should make possible

Replace “we need something more modern” with a concrete brief. Perhaps you want to win more complex projects, enter a new market or reduce manual administration. Choose a small number of outcomes and establish what happens today so you have a useful comparison later.

At Orqa, the starting point is understanding that next chapter. Strategy, design and bespoke development then work towards the same goal. Bring your current website and the changes happening in your business, and we can explore the right scope together.
